Tabuk Refuge of Hope International is a Christian, non-profit organization built on a biblical foundation with the goal of reaching out to and protecting sexually abused girls in the Province of Kalinga, Philippines and its neighboring provinces.

The Need
During the COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020, sexual abuse cases all across the Philippines elevated. By the end of 2021, a staggering 72% of all child abuse cases involved sexual abuse or assault. It was in the midst of all this that God made a way for our shelter to open as of June 2020; we are the first such shelter in Kalinga and the neighboring provinces.
With the establishment of our shelter, it has been shown that the effects of abuse and violence on the part of the young girls have been improved, with a profound impact on their physical, mental, and spiritual well being, as they are given intervention to restore their social functioning. Tabuk Refuge of Hope International has a significant role to play in working toward the prevention and early intervention of violence against children in the province. Abusive relationships always involve an imbalance of power and control. And as long as an abuser uses intimidating, hurtful words and behaviors to control those less powerful than him, Tabuk Refuge of Hope International, with partners from various agencies will always be willing to work for rescuing girls and to restore victims of abuse through systemic intervention.
We have been working with the local Department of Social Welfare and Development office and other local agencies & NGOs to provide the best care for these precious young women and ensure that they can feel safe and find healing.
